Yukiko Shindo
After graduating from university, Yukiko Shindo spent seven years in the business of helping foreign semiconductor manufacturers expand their sales in Japan.
She then studied business at the University of California at Berkeley in the United States before returning to Japan.
Ms. Shindo then chose to work at an international recruitment firm in Japan because the idea of viewing personnel as valuable assets resonated with her. Upon joining the firm, she helped launch the Yokohama office where she made full use of her technical knowledge to create an engineering department focusing on introducing technical positions. As a division director, she then expanded the team into Tokyo, Yokohama and Osaka. She built a team that could effectively handle specialized technical fields such as the semiconductor, automotive, telecommunication, industrial equipment, heavy manufacturing and built-in software industries.
Believing that future demand for more specialized recruitment firms would only continue to grow, she established a recruitment firm focusing exclusively on the semiconductor industry in 2009.
She then established Autotech in 2014 to meet growing demand in the automotive components industry for recruiting electronics engineers.
Even now, she is pursuing a new specialization, a bilingual recruiter specialist in the electric and electronics field.
